Impact Morrison was able to log his second touchdown of the season in part because Daniel Hishaw (undisclosed) did not suit up. Devin Neal led the way with double-digit rushing attempts and remains the top option in the backfield for the Jayhawks. Kansas will host Iowa State next week.

Impact Morrison's nine touches were half of what Markese Stepp received on the day, but the freshman was the only one of him, Stepp and Gabe Ervin to find his way to pay dirt. While one of the scores came late in a blowout contest, the other was in the first half to give the Huskers a 24-7 lead. This could be a signal that Morrison will be utilized around the goal line this season, which could give him some added value even if he's not a bulk rusher.

Impact Morrison was mentioned as a possible contributor in the Nebraska backfield heading into the opener but it was Gabe Ervin who saw the most carries among the running backs. It does not appear that Morrison is in line to contribute in the near future, though opportunities could open up if Nebraska's backfield continues to struggle.
