Impact Ahmed being in the transfer portal would not be surprising, considering a target was his lone counting stat during Texas State's 2023 season. It can be redshirted so that he can maintain one last year of collegiate eligibility for 2024.

Transferring to Texas State Ahmed is transferring to Texas State, according to a news release from the team Sunday.

Impact Ahmed will add to a litany of transfer players heading to Texas State. The 6-foot wideout spent the first three seasons of his collegiate career at Marshall, where he accumulated 60 catches on 95 targets for 651 yards and four touchdowns. Ahmed should have at least two remaining seasons of eligibility.

Hitting portal Ahmed announced Sunday that he is entering the transfer portal.

Impact Ahmed will enter the portal after three seasons spent at Marshall. The 6-foot wideout recorded career highs during his 2021 rookie campaign, logging 38 receptions (on 61 targets) for 463 yards and three touchdowns over 12 games. However, he stepped back into a much smaller role over 12 contests this past season, hauling in 16 of 26 targets for 150 yards and one score. Ahmed should have two remaining seasons of collegiate eligibility.
