Impact Garrett's role Saturday would seem to position him second on the team's running back depth chart behind Kairee Robinson exiting spring ball after appearing in nine games during the 2021 season, logging 17 carries for 69 yards and a touchdown. Even if that turns out to be the case this fall, Garrett's first-team reps still suggest he would be part of the backfield equation.

Impact Garrett missed the team's bowl game to close out 2020 due to injury but appears to be healthy in spring. He primarily worked as a returner for the Spartans last season but did rack up three carries for 16 yards and four catches for another 35 yards as part of the offense.
