Impact Before going to SMU's locker room during the Louisville game, Bailey logged one reception for 11 yards. He recorded another catch for triple the yardage, indicating his matchup departure was temporary. Bailey will finish the first half of SMU's 2024 season with 13 receptions for 214 yards (16.5 averaged per reception) and one touchdown.

Key'Shawn Smith - Biggest game yet vs. Louisville Smith reeled in 4 of 5 targets for 53 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 34-27 win versus Louisville.
Impact Smith had been relatively quiet in 2024, but his 53 yards were a season-high. His five targets were the second-most he's seen this season as well. Ultimately, Smith hasn't shown enough on a week-to-week basis to be a reliable fantasy option, but if he can continue to develop rapport with SMU quarterback Kevin Jennings, that could change as we near the second half of the season.

RJ Maryland - Another productive outing Maryland had six receptions (on seven targets) for 83 yards during Saturday's 34-27 victory against Louisville.
Impact Last week, it was Maryland's two touchdowns that made him a viable fantasy play. Against Louisville, it was his involvement and efficiency (six grabs on seven targets) that fueled his day. The tight end has a good rapport with quarterback Kevin Jennings, who himself appears to only be improving week in and week out. Maryland has had some dud performances this season, but he'll remain one of the Mustangs' top receiving options moving forward.

Brashard Smith - Top rusher for SMU Smith posted 13 carries for 52 yards and hauled in all three targets for 17 yards during Saturday's 34-27 victory over Louisville.
Impact Smith was once again the Mustangs' leading rusher, but he had a much quieter day than some of his past performances this season. He remains involved as a receiver with three catches, but his 52 yards on the ground were his lowest total of the season. It was an overall quiet day for Smith, but he'll remain the go-to option in this Mustangs' backfield.

Kevin Jennings - Racks up yards in statement win Jennings completed 21 of 27 passes for 281 yards during Saturday's 34-27 win against Louisville. He also had 10 rushes for 113 yards with one touchdown.
Impact Jennings' 281 passing yards were a career high, as were his 113 rushing yards. The quarterback has continually proven that he's the man for the job in Dallas, and Saturday's win against ranked Louisville was the latest entry in that category. What's more, the gunslinger was extremely efficient, completing 77.8 percent of his passes. Jennings seems to only improve each week for the Mustangs.
