Impact Walker plunged in from a yard out against Bowling Green to score his first touchdown of the season Saturday. Even though he got in the endzone, Walker averaged just 2.7 yards per carry and saw the majority of the work go to Terrion Avery. Avery made the most of the opportunity and went for 82 yards on 4.1 yards per carry. As it happens, both backs now have exactly 30 carries on the season, and Avery is outgaining Walker 94-58. Avery may just be asserting himself as RB1 at USA.

Impact After being held in check against Southern Miss in Week 1, Avery exploded against Bowling Green for career highs in carries and rushing yards. The junior also scored the most important touchdown of the game when he scampered in from 13 yards out to square the affair at 19 in the fourth quarter. After Kareem Walker got the bulk of the carries in Week 1 and struggled, Avery got most of the work in Week 2. As it happens, both backs now have exactly 30 carries on the season, and Avery is outgaining Walker 94-58. The Mississippi native might just be the new RB1 in Mobile.

Jake Bentley - Leads comeback win Bentley completed 29 of 46 passes for 257 yards and an interception in Saturday's 22-19 win over Bowling Green.

Impact Bentley's day in Ohio didn't get off to a good start, as a pick-six punctuated a brutal first half that saw the Jaguars trailing by two at the break. Fortunately for the journeyman, he turned it around late and led South Alabama to 10 unanswered points in the fourth to win the game. The senior's night wasn't pretty, but he got eight different receivers involved and threw for 257 yards in a hostile environment. He'll look to continue the momentum against Alcorn State next week.
