Bounces back against Nevada Petras went 14-of-26 passing for 175 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 27-0 win over Nevada. He also lost a total of one yard over five rushes. Impact Petras's 21-yard passing touchdown to wide receiver Arland Bruce (three receptions, four targets, 50 yards) marked his first score of the 2022 campaign and just his second passing touchdown over his past eight starts dating back to last season. The senior also completed over half of his passes as he operated with his full complement of wide receivers for the first time this season, as pass catchers Keagan Johnson (two receptions, four targets, 11 yards) and Nico Ragaini (two receptions, 56 yards, four target) returned to the field Saturday. Petras will still need to greatly improve his overall passing in order to maintain his starting job throughout Big Ten play, which will begin this coming Saturday with a road matchup against Rutgers.
