Arch Manning - Not starting QB for Saturday Manning will not be the Longhorns' starting quarterback for their game Saturday at Oklahoma, Josh Newman of LoneStarLive.com reports. Impact Manning benefited from Quinn Ewers being out for a while because of an abdominal injury. But now that Ewers is healthy, Texas' head coach Steve Sarkisian will revert to his more experienced QB instead of the redshirt freshman. Manning was great in his two starts, with a 68.3 completion percentage for 583 yards and a 4:2 TD:INT ratio. He also logged seven carries for 29 yards and a rushing touchdown. However, all that did not defeat the promising upside of Ewers, and Manning's statistical upside is expected to take a huge dip, at least for 2024.
