Impact Donley being part of the Bobcats' depth chart for Saturday suggests he should be available to play then. He sat out the 2023 Bobcats' last months of football due to an undisclosed injury. Before then, Donley had logged 11 receptions for 169 yards and one touchdown.

Jordan McCloud - Named starting QB against Lamar McCloud will be Texas State's starting quarterback against Lamar, Keff Ciardello of The Austin American-Statesman reports.

Impact The first words of Ciardello's post, no surprise, should encapsulate Texas State's head coach G.J. Kinne selecting McCloud as his starting quarterback. He helped prevent a significant problem for the Bobcats after they lost TJ Finley to Western Kentucky. McCloud has proven himself capable of being an excellent QB. While enrolled at James Madison during 2023, he logged career bests in just about every category, his most notable arguably the 43 touchdowns.
