Arrested for attempting to elude Finley was arrested Thursday by the Auburn Police Department on a charge of Attempt to Elude, WRBL News 3 reports.

Impact Finley is in custody at the Lee County Detention Facility and has been charged with Attempt to Elude by the Auburn Police Department. This arrest comes just a few days after Finley signed a historic NIL deal with Amazon where he would sell his merchandise. Finley has been in a quarterback battle with Zach Calzada and Robby Ashford in an attempt to maintain his QB1 position, but this arrest could put a damper on his season ahead.

Battling to return as Auburn's QB1 Finley is part of a quarterback battle and is working to get the Tigers' starting position in the fall, AL.com reports.

Impact Finley started the final three games of the season for Auburn in 2021 which makes him the only Tiger quarterback to have started a game for them thus far. He is trying to maintain this position but will have to perform better than Zach Calzada, Robby Ashford and Holden Geriner in the remaining practices before the season begins. In the spring, Finley received majority of the first-team reps, and Ashford and Geriner were behind him while Calzada was limited with a shoulder injury. Although Finley had more first-team opportunities in the spring, he will not automatically be listed as QB1 and will have to continue battling hard.
