Staying at Wazzu Shackelford has withdrawn from the transfer portal and will return to Washington State in 2025, Pete Nakos of On3.com reports.

Impact Shackelford totaled 10 receptions for 144 yards and a touchdown in five games with the Cougars after transferring from Austin Peay. Shackelford will now return to Washington State where he figures to see an expanded role with Kyle Williams and Josh Meredith (transfer portal) both expected to leave the program.

Impact While rarely used in the game, the senior, who transferred from Austin Peay, did catch a 39-yard pass for a touchdown in the first quarter. The passes were spread out against Portland State with five different Washington State players catching at least one touchdown pass. Shackelford logged 799 yards on 52 receptions and 10 touchdowns in 12 games in 2023.
