Impact Sanders returned from an undisclosed injury with three carries and a target in the loss at SMU. Cam Cook has been a busy back for TCU to start the season, so it will be interesting to see if Sanders can share in some of that workload moving forward. TCU will play at Kansas next week.

The 6-foot senior handled six carries for 26 yards across TCU's first two games after totaling 48 carries with the team last season. TCU did most of their work during the game through the air with Josh Hoover completing 35-of-52 passes for 402 yards in the contest, so it remains unclear if Sanders was inactive due to injury in the contest.

Among the three, it was Sanders who had the best 2023, so he should have a legitimate chance to win out over Cook and Johnson.

Picks TCU through portal Sanders announced Thursday via his personal Instagram account that he's committed to transfer to TCU, Mike Rodak of AL.com reports.

Impact Sanders dealt with numerous injuries across his first two seasons at Alabama from 2019-2020, but he ultimately worked his way back into the lineup over the last two campaigns, churning out 400 yards and three scores on 87 carries in that span. The former No. 1 ranked running back from the 2019 class is now in line to suit up for the Horned Frogs next fall where he'll compete for a starting gig.
