Impact McDonald, who appeared in the final moments of UConn's 47-3 win over Buffalo in Week 5, suffered a season-ending foot injury in the contest. The redshirt freshman quarterback threw for 20 yards (3-for-5), adding on nine yards on the ground across three brief appearances this season.

Impact McDonald came into the fourth quarter after the game was in control. The Huskies are trying to get the true freshman any time on the field that they can. If UConn can play this Saturday's opponent, Temple, like they did against Buffalo, he will see time on the field.
