Kamdyn Benjamin - Seven catches Saturday Benjamin posted seven receptions (on nine targets) for 44 yards during Saturday's 49-7 loss to Army.

Impact Given the fact that Benjamin's quarterbacks combined for just 109 passing yards Saturday, he had a fairly productive outing. He caught seven passes for the third straight game but set a season-low with 44 yards. Even though he's far and away the team's No. 1 option in the passing game, the questions surrounding the quarterback position and the overall struggles of the offense hurts Benjamin's upside, especially in standard formats.

Cooper Legas - Out-plays Kirk Francis Saturday Legas was 4-for-7 passing for 20 yards during Saturday's 49-7 defeat versus Army. He also had 17 rushes for 81 yards with one touchdown.

Impact Legas did not start Saturday's game versus Army, but he split snaps with Kirk Francis. Even though he only threw for 20 yards, he out-played Francis thanks to 81 yards and a touchdown on the ground, the only Hurricane touchdown of the game. With a bye week in Week 7, the Golden Hurricane could make a quarterback change ahead of the Week 8 matchup at Temple.

Kirk Francis - Unproductive in split action Francis completed 16 of 22 passes for 84 yards during Saturday's 49-7 loss versus Army.

Impact While he completed a high percentage of his passes Saturday, Francis failed to throw for 100 yards and did not lead a single scoring drive in the loss. He split snaps with Cooper Legas and while Legas was not productive through the air, he ran for 81 yards and a touchdown. The Golden Hurricane have a bye week in Week 7 and could make a quarterback change ahead of the Week 8 matchup at Temple.

Impact Legas led a drive in the fourth quarter Saturday after Kirk Francis was benched for poor performance and backup Cardell Williams got a chance to lead to drives. Legas completed two of his three pass attempts, including a 27-yard completion to Anthony Watkins and an 18-yard touchdown pass to Jack Wright. If Francis is benched before or after Saturday's difficult matchup with Army, Williams would be the favorite to start but Legas would certainly have a shot at the job.

Cardell Williams - Leads two drives Saturday Williams was 3-for-8 passing for 32 yards during Saturday's 52-20 defeat against North Texas. He also had three rushes for 21 yards.

Impact Williams replaced Kirk Francis in the third quarter Saturday after Francis was benched following a very poor performance. Williams led to drives which led to a punt and a field goal. He did not throw the ball particularly well, but he showed off his rushing ability with a 28-yard scamper. Cooper Legas and Tim Carpenter also led a drive Saturday so it's clear that head coach Kevin Wilson is seeing what he has in the quarterback room. If Francis is benched before or after Saturday's game versus Army Williams would be the favorite to start, however Legas should not be ruled out of contention.

Bill Jackson - Leads rushing attack Saturday Jackson posted 16 carries for 77 yards and caught 1 of 2 targets for four yards during Saturday's 52-20 loss against North Texas.

Impact Jackson led the team in rushing attempts and yards Saturday as he more than doubled Anthony Watkins' production. It was easily Jackson's best performance of the season. Watkins, who has been the No. 1 option in the run game, has not been very efficient during the first half of the season so Jackson does have a chance to take over the backfield if he continues to out-play Watkins.

Impact Benjamin was one of the lone bright spots in Saturday's loss as he saw a season-high 12 targets and went for over 65 yards for the fifth straight game. Starting quarterback Kirk Francis was benched after a disastrous first half and three different QBs played in the second half. The uncertainty around the Golden Hurricane's quarterback is not ideal for Benjamin, however he will likely be the No. 1 option no matter who is under center.

Kirk Francis - Benched after disastrous first half Francis completed 13 of 29 passes for 101 yards and two interceptions during Saturday's 52-20 loss to North Texas.

Impact Francis had a rough enough first half that he was benched for the second half. He and the Golden Hurricane were up 3-0 with five minutes left in the second quarter but after the Mean Green scored a 96-yard touchdown, the floodgates opened. Francis went three-and-out on the following drive, then after a UNT field goal went three-and-out again, then after another UNT touchdown he threw an interception that allowed North Texas to take a 24-3 lead out of nowhere. Francis has been up and down so far this season and it's unclear where he currently stands. The team tried out four different quarterbacks in the blowout loss, so they are clearly searching for answers. Francis will likely start the team's next game versus Army, but given how Army is currently playing, that could turn sour quickly.

Impact Smith caught his first career collegiate touchdown Saturday, a 38-yard reception from Kirk Francis at the end of the third quarter. Impact Benjamin continued to be the Golden Hurricane's most productive receiver Saturday as he once again led the team in receptions, targets and yards. He has proven to have an extremely high floor as he has caught at least five passes (on at least seven targets) for at least 65 yards in every game this season. He is currently tied for 20th in the country in receptions and sits at 14th in receiving yards, and his numbers could improve as he heads into conference play.

Anthony Watkins - Scores again versus LA Tech Watkins posted 10 carries for 60 yards and one touchdown and hauled in all two targets for 20 yards during Saturday's 23-20 overtime victory over Louisiana Tech.

Impact Watkins rushed for a season-high 60 yards Saturday, thanks in large part to a 30-yard touchdown run in the first quarter, his third score of the season. He also added 20 yards through the air on two catches, bringing him to a solid 80 yards from scrimmage on the day. He has gained at least 40 yards in every game this season and has scored in three of four games, so he has a solid floor heading into conference play.

Kirk Francis - Leads overtime win Francis completed 24 of 36 passes for 228 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 23-20 overtime win over Louisiana Tech.

Impact Even though his stats don't jump off the page, Francis put together a nice performance in the overtime win. He completed two-thirds of his passes on a season-high 36 attempts and threw his sixth touchdown of the season. After four non-conference games he now heads into conference play, starting at North Texas on Saturday.

Impact Francis completed fewer than 50 percent of his passes and tossed his second interception of the season Saturday, a rough outing versus the ranked Cowboys. He was taken out of the game after his interception in the third quarter, and the Golden Hurricane scored all 10 of their points after he left the game.
