Tears ACL, out for season Van Dyke was diagnosed Monday with a torn ACL in his right knee and will miss the rest of the 2024 season, Colten Bartholomew of the Wisconsin State Journal reports. Impact Van Dyke suffered a knee injury on Wisconsin's first drive against Alabama and didn't return. Head coach Luke Fickell said after the game that Van Dyke was dealing with a serious injury, so his diagnosis doesn't come as a major surprise. A fifth-year senior, Van Dyke will qualify for a redshirt for 2024 after appearing in four games or fewer, so he would have the option of playing a sixth season of college football in 2025 if he so chooses. Wisconsin is likely to turn to Braedyn Locke as its new starting quarterback beginning with a Week 5 matchup at USC on Sept. 28.
