Commits to East Carolina Saunders announced Friday via his personal Twitter page that he is transferring to East Carolina.

Impact Saunders will head to East Carolina after spending his freshman season at Virginia Tech, where he did not appear in a single game. The Pirates heavily recruited Saunders as a senior in 2019 but he ultimately went in a different direction. The 6-0 receiver will provide some added depth and may not see himself in a major role right away but should grow into one if he sticks around.
