Jaylon Robinson - Goes off against Boise State Robinson had six catches for 140 yards and a touchdown against Boise State.

Impact Robinson paced all pass-catchers in Thursday's contest as he racked up over 100 yards and a score. No other UCF receiver had more than five receptions or 47 yards. Robinson is undoubtedly the top target for the Knights and even if the offense isn't as pass-happy under Gus Malzahn, he will still draw enough volume to remain an elite fantasy option.

Isaiah Bowser - Draws workhorse volume Bowser had 33 carries for 172 yards and a touchdown Thursday against Boise State.

Impact Bowser dominated the backfield work as only Johny Richardson saw carries among non-quarterbacks. The Northwestern transfer now appears to be a possible workhorse for UCF. Bethune-Cookman comes to the Bounce House in Week 2, so Bowser may not be needed for 30-plus carries, but look for him to be heavily utilized moving forward.

Dillon Gabriel - Leads comeback Gabriel completed 25 of 37 passes for 318 yards with four touchdowns and two interceptions against Boise State. He added 64 rushing yards.

Impact Gabriel made a crucial mistake early, throwing a red zone pick that was returned for a touchdown. He responded by keeping UCF in the game and ultimately delivered the Knights a victory. In addition to Gabriel's impressive night passing, an interesting development was his rushing production in a new offense. His 64 yards on the ground would have beaten his 2020 season high by 15 yards. UCF takes on Bethune-Cookman in Week 2.

Impact As a true freshman, Keene has done enough to sit above Quadry Jones and Joey Gatewood -- a recent transfer who may not be up to speed -- on the depth chart. If he can maintain that spot ahead of the other two, Keene could be positioned as the successor for Dillon Gabriel under center.

Impact Bowser joined the Knights this offseason as a transfer from Northwestern, where he had lost his grip on the starting role to Cam Porter. The senior appears set to lead the UCF backfield in 2021, though Johny Richardson and Mark-Antony Richards are among the candidates to also see reps in the backfield.

Impact A torn Achilles wiped out Coles' 2020 season before it even started. He's more than a year removed from the injury now and will be ready to play this year. Coles projects as a depth option in the Knights' backfield.

Woody Barrett - Heading to UCF Barrett has transferred to UCF and will play running back for the Knights, Brandon Helwig of Rivals.com reports.

Impact Barrett is entering his fifth collegiate season after spending the last three playing quarterback for Kent State. He started all 12 games in 2018, throwing for 2,239 yards with 11 touchdowns and nine interceptions. He also ran the ball 163 times for 503 yards and seven touchdowns. He then went on to only start one more game over the next two seasons. It's unclear how much success he may have as a running back and if Gus Malzahn even has immediate plans for him in the offense. Barrett has two more years of eligibility left and will be good to play right away as a graduate transfer.

Joey Gatewood - Immediately eligible Gatewood has received immediate eligibility to play for the Knights in 2021, Jason Beede of 247Sports.com reports.

Impact Gatewood was initially deemed ineligible to play this season after landing at UCF last week due to it being his second transfer in college. The redshirt junior decided to leave Kentucky after just one season once Will Levis was named the team's starting quarterback for the 2021 season. Gatewood is still expected to hold a backup role with the Knights behind Dillon Gabriel. Gus Malzahn has publicly stated he thinks Gatewood is extremely talented and can provide value to the team, suggesting he may have a plan to get him involved in the offense in some fashion.
