Kaytron Allen - Logs 21 carries with Singleton outAllen notched 21 rushes for 78 yards and one touchdown and hauled in 1 of 2 targets for one yard during Saturday's 27-11 victory over UCLA.

ImpactAllen stepped up into a bigger role with fellow junior and star running back Nicholas Singlton sidelined by a last-minute illness Saturday. The 5-foot-11 junior finished with a season-high in carries, and he logged just his second rushing touchdown of the season when he scored form one yard out late in the third quarter. Allen averaged 13.3 carries over the first four games of the season, and he's likely to see closer to this many attempts with Singleton expected to return to action next week at USC.

Drew Allar - Scores twice in easy winAllar completed 17 of 24 passes for 237 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 27-11 victory versus UCLA. He also had four rushes for negative three yards with one touchdown.

ImpactAllar found the end zone twice after being held without a touchdown during last week's sluggish win against Illinois. The 6-foot-5 junior first scored, and got the Nittany Lions on the board, with a one-yard rushing touchdown midway through the second quarter. He scored against shortly thereafter with a five-yard touchdown pass to tight end Tyler Warren just before halftime. Allar also remained highly efficeint and explosive as a passer, as he's now completed 70.9 percent of his passes for 10.7 yards per attempt this season. Penn State's star running back Nicholas Singleton was also held out with a last-minute illness Saturday. Allar will look to keep his strong junior campaign rolling with or without Singleton at his side during this coming Saturday's road game at USC.
