2024 College Football odds Week 9: Lines, spreads for best games of the week

College football Week 9 is here. Check out the lines for some of the biggest games on this weekend's slate.

Duce Robinson - Catches another TD in Week 8 Robinson recorded three receptions (on five targets) for 52 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 29-28 defeat to Maryland.

Impact Robinson caught a touchdown for the fourth time in the last five games, recording a 26-yard score early in the fourth quarter. The 6-foot-4 sophomore has only averaged just 4.2 targets per game over this span, but, his apparent value as a scoring threat likely makes him the the most valuable wideout in terms of fantasy on the team behind Ja'Kobi Lane.

Makai Lemon - Racks up 89 yards in loss Lemon gathered in all eight targets for 89 yards during Saturday's 29-28 loss against Maryland.

Impact Lemon logged a season-high in receiving yards, and he logged at least eight targets for the second week in a row. The sophomore has scored just once this season with a score during the Week 2 blowout win versus Utah State. But, Lemon could be a viable fantasy option if he continues to get a significant share of the Trojans' targets moving forward. He'll look to keep this rolling versus Rutgers this coming Saturday.

Kyron Hudson - Finishes with TD in Week 8 Hudson caught four of 10 targets for 41 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 29-28 defeat to Maryland.

Impact Hudson finished with a solid final stat line versus Maryland after leaving early with an arm injury during last week's loss to Penn State. The redshirt junior also tallied a season-high 10 targets during a game in which quarterback Miller Moss attemped 50 passes. Hudson has put up solid and consistent numbers over the last four weeks, and he caught all but three of his 16 targets over the previous three contests. Yet, he'll only be truly valuable in fantasy if he starts to rack up more touchdowns moving forward, which could be tough with fellow big-bodied receivers Ja'Kobi Lane and Duce Robinson currently getting the bulk of scores in the red zone.

Ja'Kobi Lane - Catches TD in Week 8 Lane notched four receptions (on seven targets) for 51 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 29-28 loss to Maryland.

Impact Lane bounced back after back-to-back down outings at Minnesota and versus Penn State, as he logged just four catches (on 12 targets) for 31 yards over this span. Lane's slight increase in targets are easily explained by quarterback Miller Moss' 50 passing attempts, which is his second-most of any game this season. Meanwhile, wideouts Kyron Hudson and Makai Lemon led the team in targets with 10 and eight, respectively. Lane has not had many great games outside of his two-touchdown performance versus Wisconsin in Week 5. But, he slightly eads the Trojans in receiving touchdown this season, and his 6-foot-4 stature should continue to net him a solid number of scoring opportunities in the red zone.

Miller Moss - Big outing in upset loss Moss completed 34 of 50 passes for 336 yards, three touchdowns and one interception during Saturday's 29-28 defeat to Maryland.

Impact Moss threw three touchdowns for the thrid time this season, matching his total from the Week 4 loss to Michigan and the Week 5 win versus Wisconsin. Just like those games, he also tossed an interception -- this time with a crucial pick early in the third quarter that helped spark the Terrapins' 14-point comeback. Moss also attempted at least 50 passes for the second time this year. Across five Big Ten games, he's now averaged 2.4 touchdowns to 1.2 interceptions while completing 61.9 percent of his 43.6 passes per game. Moss will look to remain productive when the Trojans take on a reeling Rutgers squad in Los Angeles this coming Saturday.
