Joshua Simon - Tallies two TDsSimon caught three passes for 73 yards and two touchdowns versus UT Martin on Thursday.
ImpactThe Hilltoppers got an influx of Houston Baptist folks in their passing game, but Simon has been around for a bit. He seemed to get along just fine with the crew from Houston as the tight end opened the season with a big game. Based on how this game went, it could continue.

Jerreth Sterns - Big game in WKU debutSterns caught seven passes for 107 yards and two scores against UT Martin on Thursday.
ImpactSterns is one of several players - and one offensive coordinator - that came over from Houston Baptist. Bailey Zappe threw for 424 yards and seven touchdowns under center, and his top target was his former Huskies teammate Sterns.

Jakairi Moses - Left behind in routMoses only rushed twice for nine yards against UT Martin on Thursday.
ImpactMoses came into the year on top of the Western Kentucky depth chart at running back. Then, in the season opener, he was a total afterthought. The Hilltoppers had 478 yards and eight touchdowns through the air. This seems like it is going to be a pass-happy offense, and Moses seems like he can be forgotten by fantasy players this year.

Bailey Zappe - Incredible in WKU debutZappe went 28-for-35 for 424 yards, seven touchdowns, and one interception against UT Martin on Thursday. He also rushed two times for 24 yards.
ImpactWKU basically brought in the Houston Baptist passing game over this offseason, Zappe included. While this was a matchup with a FCS team, you couldn't ask for a much better start to his time with the Hilltoppers for the quarterback.
