Impact Gardison hasn't played since Week 4 due to an injury to his elbow. Cade McConnell has started in his absence. Hardison will end the season completing 73-of-129 passes for 947 yards, five touchdowns and seven interceptions.

Impact Burgess will have sat out UTEP's last game of the 2023 regular season. Without him available Saturday, Deion Hankins and Mike Franklin are two of various candidates to receive more carries against Liberty. Burgess finished the regular season with 847 all-purpose yards (620 rushing and 227 receiving) and two touchdowns across 11 games.
