Joshua Cephus - Nets 73 yardsCephus caught six passes for 73 yards versus Illinois on Saturday.
ImpactCephus was the lead receiver for the Roadrunners in 2020 in terms of receptions with 58. However, Zakhari Franklin had more yards and touchdowns in two fewer games. Franklin is the lead receiver here, but there's enough space for Cephus to get his looks as well. They worked together well in 2020, after all.

Zakhari Franklin - Puts up big numbersFranklin caught 10 passes for 155 yards and a touchdown against Illinois on Saturday.
ImpactSure, Illinois isn't expected to be a good defense, but they are still a Big Ten team. This is an impressive way to begin the season. It may be a sign of things to come, too. Last season Franklin had 49 catches for 694 yards and seven touchdowns in 10 games. A full season, plus a full offseason? Franklin could be a breakout receiver.

Brenden Brady - Tallies two TDsBrady rushed 11 times for 67 yards and two touchdowns versus Illinois on Saturday.
ImpactThe two touchdowns are nice, but Sincere McCormick is the lead back here. McCormick had 31 carries in this game. Also, Brady has never had more than two touchdowns in a season, and this is his fourth year in college.

Sincere McCormick - Rushes for 117 yardsMcCormick rushed 31 times for 117 yards against Illinois on Saturday.
ImpactMcCormick was one of the best running backs in the country in 2020, at least based on sheer numbers in a vacuum. He rushed for 1,467 yards and 11 touchdowns in 11 games. The yardage total here is good, but McCormick didn't find the end zone. Instead, backup Brenden Brady scored twice. That likely won't be the case every week, though. McCormick will be just fine.

Frank Harris - Throws, rushes for TDHarris went 20-for-32 for 280 yards and a touchdown versus Illinois on Saturday. He also rushed eight times for 32 yards and a score.
ImpactHarris has showed potential when he's been able to take the field for the Roadrunners, especially on the ground. Last year he rushed 95 times for 528 yards and nine touchdowns. As such, the rushing numbers in this game don't seem like a fluke. This is a dual-threat quarterback.
