Impact Konopka will miss the remainder of the season with an undisclosed injury, a tough blow for the Scarlet Knights. He had now played since Week 5 and had caught one pass (on two targets) this season. With No. 1 tight end Kenny Fletcher (undisclosed) also ruled out for the season, Mike Higgins and Logan Blake are set for increased roles.

Impact Konopka has only played in one game this year and caught one pass for 17 yards. With the sophomore tight end out, Johnny Langan and Matt Alaimo will remain Rutgers' top two tight ends.
