Michael Penix Jr. - Struggles against Michigan Penix completed 27 of 51 passes for 255 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions during Monday's 34-13 loss against Michigan. Impact Penix was on the mark all night against Texas in the Sugar Bowl, but he was unable to replicate that success Monday night versus a stingy Wolverines defense, tossing a pair of interceptions on a night that saw him attempt a season-high 51 passes. He narrowly missed an open Rome Odunze on fourth down on a play that may have changed the outlook of the game, but the Huskies never managed to pull closer than within seven points after falling behind 17-3, notching a touchdown late in the first half to make it 17-10. Penix still posted a highly impressive 2023 campaign for the Huskies, completing 65.4 percent of his 555 passing attempts for 4,903 yards and a 36:11 TD:INT ratio, and he'll now begin preparations for the 2024 NFL Draft.
