JT Daniels - Transferring to West Virginia Daniels is transferring to West Virginia, Pete Thamel of ESPN.com reports. Impact The former USC and Georgia quarterback will land with the Mountaineers to finish out his collegiate career. Daniels has thrown for 4,840 yards and 32 touchdowns in 21 career games. He hasn't started a full season since his freshman year at USC but impressed in his brief time at Georgia when he took over at the end of 2020 and opened 2021 as the starter before injuries sidelined him down the stretch. In nine games at Georgia, Daniels completed 69.5 percent of his passes with a 9.2 YPA. Per Thamel, Daniels is set to reunite with former USC offensive coordinator Graham Harrell, who coached Daniels in 2019. He gives West Virginia a significant lift at quarterback after the Mountaineers had a total of 19 touchdown passes in 2021 and a combined 7.2 YPA. Daniels will be immediately eligible upon completing his degree at Georgia at the end of the semester.
