ImpactCorley got into a few games as a true freshman in 2020 - not enough to burn a potential redshirt mind you - but only had six receptions. This year he's more involved, as he already has 11 catches. You'd like to see more yards per reception, but Corley does seem like he has potential as a possession receiver.

ImpactJerreth Sterns is the clear top target in this passing game, but quarterback Bailey Zappe has gone over 400 yards in both of his starts. Clearly there are plenty of opportunities to go around. Tinsley should be able to have a few games like this.

ImpactSterns (along with his quarterback and offensive coordinator) came over from Houston Baptist this offseason. So far the receiver has 16 catches for 278 yards and four touchdowns. It's starting to feel like Sterns has the potential to lead the nation in receiving yards in this offense.

ImpactThis is a bit of a surprise. Whittington entered this season at the bottom of the running back depth chart, but in this game he got eight of the 11 carries that went to backs. Frankly, WKU is all about the passing game. The run game is going to be an afterthought this year.

ImpactWell through two games the "Move Houston Baptist's passing game to Conference USA" plan is going swimmingly for WKU. Zappe has thrown for 859 yards, 10 touchdowns, and two picks through two games. He could put up some of the biggest numbers in college football at this rate.
