Hammond also had a lost fumble which could have gone either way after replay review. With dual-threat ability, Hammond is an interesting prospect and is worth a stash for fantasy rosters in case he plays for the Red Raiders at Iowa State next week.

Impact Hammond, a true freshman, received his first game action at Texas Tech. Starter Behren Morton was fantastic against North Texas and only needed to play the first half. This allowed for the Red Raiders to get a look at their future prospects at quarterback. Texas Tech will play Arizona State next week.
