Highly efficient in narrow win Howard completed 13 of 16 passes for 221 yards, three touchdowns and one interception during Saturday's 21-17 win versus Nebraska. He also had eight rushes for 14 yards. Impact Howard threw at least three touchdowns for the third time despite logging a season-low 16 passing attempts. The graduate senior first hit wideout Carnell Tate for a 40-yard touchdown before later hitting star wideout Jeremiah Smith in stride for a 60-yard touchdown in the second quarter. Howard also tied his season-high for yards per attempt (13.8) and he completed at least 80 percent of his passes for the fourth time in the last five weeks. This made up for the Buckeyes putting up just 64 rushing yards. Across four Big Ten games, Howard has averaged 250.0 passing yards while completing 77.6 percent of his passes. He's also totaled 11 passing touchdowns and four rushing scores over this span. He'll likely need to keep making big plays for Ohio State to knock off No. 3 Penn State at Happy Valley this coming Saturday.
