Out for season Nixon (foot) is out for the remainder of the 2024 season, Chris Carlson of The Syracuse Post-Standard reports.

Impact Nixon suffered a Lisfranc injury in the Orangeman's Week 5 win over Holy Cross, an injury that will keep him out for the rest of the season. He appeared in three games this season and he rushed 19 times for 76 yards and caught four passes for four yards. Due to him playing only three games, he could save a year of eligibility with a medical redshirt.

Could be out a while Nixon could be out for a while due to his foot injury, Chris Carlson of Syracuse.com reports.

Impact Nixon suffered his foot injury during Syracuse's game Saturday against Holy Cross. As a result, he will sit out the SU-UNLV matchup scheduled for Oct. 4. However, Carlson confirming Nixon being unavailable 'a little while' indicates more than one DNP may be needed from Syracuse's injured junior.

Returns to action Saturday Nixon (undisclosed) ran for 29 yards on seven attempts while catching his only target for nine receiving yards in Syracuse's 42-14 victory over Holy Cross on Saturday.

Impact Nixon missed last week's matchup against Stanford with an undisclosed injury, but he made a rapid enough recovery to make his return to the field against Holy Cross. The redshirt junior running back has run for 76 yards on 19 attempts through three games in 2024, adding four catches for 44 yards through the air as well. Nixon's next opportunity will come when the Orange travel to face UNLV on Friday.

Impact Nixon was the clear backup to LeQuint Allen, but that didn't stop him from cracking the 50-yard mark in terms of all purpose yards. His rushing output could've been more efficient, but his 20-yard catch helped salvage his day somewhat. He's still the clear second fiddle to Allen in the Syracuse backfield, and that shouldn't change anytime soon.
