Will Pauling - Top receiver in down passing game Pauling hauled in five of eight targets for 51 yards during Saturday's 23-3 victory against Northwestern.
Impact Pauling played in full after exiting early with a upper-body injury during last week's win versus Rutgers. The redshirt junior led the Badgers' receiving corps across the board, but this came in a down passing performance for the team's streaking QB Braedyn Locke, who completed 14 of 24 passes for 160 yards. Pauling far and away leads the team in receptions (30) this season, though he hasn't generated many explosive plays, as his longest reception of the season went for 25 yards. Meanwhile, wideouts Vinny Anthony and Trech Kekahuna have come on as the primary downfield threats with 24.2 and 15.5 yards per reception this season, respectively. Pauling's reliability in the short-to-intermediate parts of the field could be crucial as the Badgers look to knock off No. 3 Penn State in Camp Randall this coming Saturday.

Impact Locke continued his turnover-prone play with two turnovers, increasing his total to six across four starts this season. The redshirt sophomore has still been a slight net positive with multiple touchdowns in his last three starts. Locke has also completed 65.1 percent of his passes for 253.0 yards per game over this span. But, this was against three of the worst teams in the Big Ten, and he'll face a mich different opponent when No. 3 Penn State heads to Camp Randall this coming Saturday. He'll likely need to clean up this recurring turnover issue in order for the Badgers to pull off the upset.

Impact Walker rushed for over 100 yards for the second week in a row. The senior running back has been extremely prodcutive since taking as RB1 over the last three games, totaling 66 carries for 418 yards and six touchdowns. While he didn't get into the end zone versus Northwestern he should continue to power the Badgers' newfound prolific rushing offense moving forward. However, the team will face perhaps its stretch of opposing defenses over the next three games, including home games agaisnt Penn State and Oregon sandwiched around a road game at Iowa.
