Skyler Bell - Leads receivers in lossBell caught four of his eight targets for 55 yards during Saturday's 52-21 loss to Ohio State.
ImpactBell led the Badgers' receiving corps in receptions, yards and targets while catching passes from struggling starter Graham Mertz (11-of-20 passing, 94 yards, 1:1 TD:INT ratio) on Saturday. The redshirt freshman has now led Wisconsin in receiving yards for the second straight week, and his status as an up-and-coming playmaker should net him consistent downfield looks while playing alongside No. 1 wideout Chimere Dike this season.

Braelon Allen - Scores late TDAllen rushed 23 times for 165 yards and a touchdown during Saturday's 52-21 loss to Ohio State. He also added three receptions (three targets) for six yards.
ImpactAllen recorded season-highs in carries and rushing yards, though nearly half of the production came via one 75-yard touchdown run midway through the fourth quarter of Saturday's blowout loss. Otherwise, the sophomore back averaged a moderate 4.1 yards per carry against the Buckeyes' rush defense. Allen's overall performance was likely a result of the broader struggles of the Badgers offense, and he'll face another tough test next week against Illinois, which allowed 2.9 yards per carry and 87.3 rushing yards per game over the first four weeks of the season.

Graham Mertz - Wilts in blowout lossMertz completed 11 of his 20 passes for 94 yards and a 1:1 TD:INT ratio during Saturday's 52-21 loss to Ohio State. He also netted five carries for 15 yards and another touchdown.
ImpactMertz struggled mightily against the Buckeyes' revamped defense, as he threw an interception on his first pass of the game Saturday. The third-year starter averaged his lowest passing yards per attempt (4.7) since last year's season-ending loss against rival Minnesota. Mertz managed to notch the Badgers' first score with a one-yard quarterback sneak to pull the game within 28-7 midway through the second quarter. The junior also converted a two-yard passing touchdown on a play-action pass in the fourth quarter, and he'll have a chance to bounce back during next week's home matchup against Illinois.
