The 6-foot-4 signal caller was in the midst of a pursuit to become Auburn's starting quarterback as a junior, and he'll now attempt to do the same at Incarnate Word next fall.

Impact Calzada transferred from Texas A&M this past offseason and has entered one of the most competitive quarterback battles in college football. He is competing with T.J. Finley, Oregon transfer Robby Ashford and true freshman Holden Geriner. Calzada started off the spring at a disadvantage because he was limited due to a shoulder injury, but now that he is healthy he arguably poses the largest threat to Finley. Calzada ended the 2021 season with 2,185 yards and 17 touchdowns and has shown he is very capable of holding a starting quarterback position.
