Contends at BMW PGA Championship Rai carded a five-under 67 in the final round of the BMW PGA Championship to finish in a tie for fourth place.
Impact Rai surged into contention on Sunday after he birdied five of the first seven holes. Once the Englishman got further into contention, however, he seemed to get tight as he made just one more birdie the rest of the way and a closing bogey left him in a three-way tie for fourth place. Rai has put together the best year of his career with now seven top-10 finishes, including his maiden PGA Tour win at the Wyndham Championship. Rai is slated to tee it up again at the acciona Open de Espana.

Wins Wyndham Championship Rai fired a final round six-under 64 to claim the victory at the Wyndham Championship by two shots.
Impact Rai entered the closing round trailing by three, and he got off to a good start with four birdies in the first six holes to close the gap to two. Nonetheless, Max Greyserman built up a four stroke lead with five holes to play but faltered down the stretch with a double bogey and a quadruple bogey, and Rai was able to seal the win with a six-foot birdie putt on the 72nd hole. Rai had an excellent week with his irons, leading the field in SG: Approach. It's the first PGA Tour trophy for the 29-year-old, who will enter the FedExCup Playoffs in 25th place.

Third straight top-10 Rai finished in a tie for fourth place after shooting a seven-under 63 in the final round of the Genesis Scottish Open.
Impact It would have been a real shame if Rai did not get into the Open Championship, but that can be put out of his mind after he collected one of the three spots available at the Scottish Open. Rain has gotten so close to a win during this three-even top-10 streak. The Englishman is red hot and makes for an interesting one to watch at the Royal Troon.

Impact Rai was playing in the final group for a second straight week but once again struggled to get much going in the final round as he made just one birdie in the first 12 holes under easy scoring conditions to fall out of contention. He was led by his play on the greens, leading the field for the tournament in SG: Putting. It's Rai's fourth top-10 of the year and third such result since May.
