First MC of season in Mexico Hossler recorded a 36-hole score of one-under-par to miss the cut at this past week's Mexico Open at VidantaWorld by two shots.

Impact Hossler gained 2.09 strokes off the tee throughout his two rounds at Vidanta Vallarta, but he lost 1.5 strokes with his irons and another 1.76 strokes putting to ultimately miss his first cut of the season while dropping from 62nd to No. 71 in the early FedExCup standings. He'll look to rebound at the upcoming Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches where he's placed top-30 in back-to-back PGA National appearances.

Jumps 19 spots Sunday Hossler carded an even 72 at the final round of the Farmers Insurance Open to finish tied for 15th place.

Impact Hossler tied for the 13th-best score at Sunday's final round, finishing strong with birdies on 10 and 18. The American's impressive performance over the weekend can largely be attributed to his driving and putting, as he ranked 22nd in strokes gained off the tee and 19th in strokes gained putting. Hossler has now secured a top-15 finish in each of his last two events and will look to maintain his momentum at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am on Jan. 30.

Impact Hossler didn't make a single birdie until the par-5 18th hole during Sunday's final round, in which he lost 2.9 strokes with his irons while hitting only 10 greens in regulation. He finished the event ranked just 76th of 77 in SG: Approach, and Hossler ultimately fell one spot to No. 66 in the FedExCup Fall standings with the T56 result.

Impact Hossler was in the final pairing Sunday as he trailed leader Keith Mitchell by one stroke, and he got off to a good start with four birdies in the first eight holes to take a one-shot lead. After making a couple bogeys on the back nine, he was able to get up-and-down from 130 yards following on errant tee shot on the 72nd hole to get into a playoff. However, he was unable to match Yu's birdie and had to settle for the runner-up finish.
