Wins second BMW PGA Championship Horschel won the BMW PGA Championship in a playoff over Rory McIlroy and Thriston Lawrence after shooting a five-under 67 in the final round. Impact Horschel was able to make birdie on the 72nd hole and post 20-under, which was good enough for a playoff. After birdies by Horschel and McIlroy, Lawrence was eliminated with a bogey on the first playoff hole. The second playoff hole would see Horschel pour in another lengthy putt for an eagle and win the BMW PGA Championship for the second time in four years. Horschel has taken in pride in being a global player and has been teeing it up as frequently as any American PGA Tour player on the DP World Tour over the last few years. He is now up to third in the Race to Dubai standings. Horschel will tee it up again in a couple weeks at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.
