Wins in home country An defeated Tom Kim in a playoff to win the Genesis Championship following a five-under 67 in the final round. Impact An and Kim were the two highest ranked players in the field and they certainly lived up to the billing going down to the wire in their home country. An had a big finish that included birdies on four of the final six holes, and added another birdie on the first playoff hole for his second DP World Tour victory and first since the 2015 BMW PGA Championship. This moves him up to 27th in the OWGR and is his sixth top-25 finish in his last seven starts. An is likely to make at least a couple more starts in 2024, but this win gives him a lot of confidence going into 2025 where he seeks his first PGA Tour victory.
