Ties for 36th at season opener Thompson fired a six-under 67 on Sunday at The Sentry to finish 15-under and tied for 36th.

Impact Thompson struggled mightily with his putter and approach play en route to a five-over 78 during Thursday's opening round at Kapalua, but he bounced back by playing his final 54 holes in 20-under-par, ultimately finishing the week with 21 total birdies and two eagles. He also ranked top-15 among the field in both SG: Off-the-Tee and GIR percentage. Thompson will peg it again this week at the Sony Open in Hawaii where he's placed T57-T54 since making his Waialae Country Club debut in 2023.

T5 finish in Las Vegas Thompson shot a five-under 66 on Sunday to finish in a tie for fifth place at the Shriners Children's Open.

Impact Thompson was making his first start of the fall after a strong FedExCup season. He showed little signs of rust with the top-five that included ranking top-10 in both SG: Approach and SG: Around-the-Green. Thompson just needed a better putting week to challenge for the victory. He is not listed in the field for the ZOZO Championship next week.

Strong season comes to close Thompson finished in a tie for 41st place at the BMW Championship after an even-par 72 in the final round.

Impact Thompson came into the week at 26th in the FedExCup, but after a T41 showing fell into 34th and will not make the TOUR Championship. Thompson continued his good driving this week, but lost over seven strokes combined on approach and on the greens. There certainly is a lot of positives for Thompson to take from this season including his first PGA Tour win at the John Deere Classic. The 25-year-old has a lot of talent and should be a threat to win again in 2025.

Wins John Deere Classic Thompson fired a final round seven-under 64 to claim the victory at the John Deere Classic by four shots.

Impact Thompson began the round with a two-shot cushion and while his playing partners struggled early, he birdied five of the first six holes to expand his lead to six. With only four players posting a better round Sunday, he was never challenged down the stretch and coasted to a four-shot win. Thompson was led by his short game, gaining 12.8 shots around the green and putting combined for the week. It's his first career PGA Tour victory and the result moves him up the 22nd in the FedExCup Standings.
