Unable to make it into playoff Spaun shot a two-under 68 in the final round of the Sony Open in Hawaii but had to settle for a share of third place.

Impact Spaun came into the final round holding the 54-hole lead. He got off to a nice start with three birdies on the first eight holes. Spaun then went cold and was on a long par-train before failing to get up-and-down on the par-3 17th. It meant Spaun would need birdie on the par-5 18th hole to get into a playoff. After a poor drive he was forced to just lay up short of the green. Spaun hit a really quality shot that left him a 10-footer for birdie. The putt was just pushed out to the right and Spaun had to settle for T3. It's certainly a disappointment for Spaun who was looking for his first PGA Tour title since the 2022 Valero Texas Open. That being said, Spaun turned things around the second half of 2024 and now he is continuing that into early 2025. He is listed in the field for The American Express next week.

Surges to T6 in final round Spaun fired a six-under 64 in the final round to finish in a share of sixth place at the ZOZO Championship.

Impact Spaun saved his best round of the week for Sunday and moved himself up 10 places on the leaderboard in the process. This was his fourth top-10 finish in his last 11 starts. Spaun had a pretty solid week all around with the exception of short game where he ranked 54th in SG: Around-the-Green. If Spaun can clean that up he has a solid chance to compete for a victory as 2024 winds down.

Impact Spaun, who withdrew from his previous start at the Sanderson Farms Championship, rebounded with a top-25 effort this past week in Utah where he ranked ninth among the field in SG: Off-the-Tee and eighth in GIR percentage. Spaun rose two spots to No. 98 in the FedExCup Fall standings as a result, and he'll peg it again this week at the Shriners Children's Open where he placed 46th or better each of the last three years.

Impact Spaun was just one inside the cut line after 36 holes but stormed up the leaderboard by playing the final two rounds bogey free with an eagle and eight birdies. He was led by his ball striking, as he led the field in greens in regulation and was eighth in SG: Off-the-tee and approach for the week. Despite posting his third top-10 over his last six starts, Spaun missed the playoffs at 97th in the FedExCup Standings.

Impact Spaun was one of the biggest surprises of the tournament going a perfect 3-0 through the group stage. He was unable to translate that strong play into the Round of 16 against Xander Schauffele, making only two birdies. Spaun had been really struggling with missed cuts in four of his last five starts after a strong start to 2023 in Hawaii. He should take some confidence into the Valero Texas Open next week where he will be the defending champion.
