Poor final round showing at Torrey Rahm had to settle for a share of seventh place after shooting a two-over 74 in the final round of the Farmers Insurance Open. Impact Rahm came into the week having won both of his starts in 2023 and four of his last six starts overall. Coming to Torrey Pines where he had two victories in the past, it seemed unfathomable that Rahm would not be in contention once again this week. Things got off to a slow start with a first-round 73, but he quickly made his move with a 67 in round two on the North Course followed by a 66 in round three on the South Course. Rahm was just two shots back of 54-hole leader Sam Ryder and in the final group with the man who had never crossed the finish line at a PGA Tour event first. It appeared all lined up for Rahm to win and reclaim that deserved title as World No. 1. Unfortunately it was not to be, as Rahm struggled out of the gate and never was able to make a putt to recapture some momentum. There's still nothing to worry about here and Rahm will be just fine in a couple weeks time at the WM Phoenix Open.
