Comes up just short at the Open Rose tied for second place at the Open Championship after a four-under 67 in the final round. Impact Rose had so much support all week from the crowds as he looked to add a second major championship (2013 U.S. Open) to his resume at age 43. He battled through some of the toughest conditions this week and put together an extremely impressive scrambling performance. Unfortunately he just got beat on Sunday by a better player in Xander Schauffele who played with Rose and shot a flawless 65. This might have been Rose's last best shot to win a major, so there will certainly be some disappointment, but there shouldn't be any negatives to take from this performance. After having to go through Final Qualifying to get to Royal Troon this year, he will now be locked into spots at the Masters and Open Championship next year.
