Challenges again at Augusta Aberg finished in solo seventh place at The Masters following an even-par 72 in the final round. Impact The final result will say seventh, but Aberg was very much in this one late. He briefly held a three-way share of the lead in the closing holes, but made a bad bogey on the par-4 17th hole and a triple-bogey on the par-4 18th once all hope of a win was gone. After his solo second in his first Masters last year, plus this performance this week, Aberg feels like a player who one day will slip on a green jacket. Many were concerned about his form coming into the week after missing his last two cuts, but it didn't really seem to affect him. Aberg has tremendous talent and will win plenty of big events. He just needs to concentrate and not make a lot of the simple mistakes he made this week. He will be in the field for the RBC Heritage next week looking to win his second signature event of 2025.
