Impact Kaymer's first round in Hong Kong was his best of the tournament, when he carded a bogey-free, five-under 65 that included an eagle on the par-5 third hole. The Cleeks GC captain finished eighth in the field in scrambling (76.92 percent on 13 opportunities) and in the top-15 in GIR (75.93 percent) and driving accuracy (73.81 percent). It was a nice turnaround for Kaymer, who opened the LIV Golf season with T44-49 in Riyadh and Adelaide, respectively. He sits 24th in the individual season standings with nine points heading into LIV Golf Singapore, where he finished T19 in 2024.
