Ninth straight top-25 finish Cantlay turned in a two-under 70 in the final round of The American Express to finish in a share of fifth place.

Impact Cantlay got off to a slow start on Sunday with bogeys on two of the first six holes, but the followed that up with four birdies in the next five to get back on track. Cantlay was unable to add anything else after that, but it was good enough for a strong top-five finish. This is also the ninth top-25 in a row for the UCLA product. Cantlay has not won since the 2022 BMW Championship, but his game does not appear far off of being able to do that again. He is not in the field for the Farmers Insurance Open.

Impact Cantlay struggled with his iron play at Kapalua finishing 45th out of 58 golfers in SG: Approach, but made up for it by ranking second in the field in SG: Around-the-Green. Cantlay was also 17th in SG: Putting. This was his first start in an official PGA Tour event since the TOUR Championship, but he has now finished inside the top-25 in eight straight starts. Cantlay will hope to get back into the win column soon. His next start is expected to be The American Express (Jan. 16-19).
