Reaches No. 1 in OWGR with win Rahm took over the No. 1 spot in the Official World Golf Rankings on Sunday after his win at the Memorial Tournament. Impact Rahm turned a late back-nine surge in round three to a four shot lead entering the final round with extremely difficult conditions expected. While many struggled, the Spaniard made the turn in two-under. After a double-bogey on 11 followed by another bogey on 14, things became a bit more interesting. Rahm chipped in on the par-3 16th to essentially seal the deal, but it was later determined that he caused his ball to move, resulting in a meaningless two-stroke penalty. It brings the winning margin to three strokes, but either way Rahm overtakes Rory McIlroy for the No. 1 spot in the OWGR. Rahm is not in the field for next week's 3M Open.
