Unable to convert three-peat Scheffler shot a five-under 66 on Sunday at the WM Phoenix Open to finish in a share of third place. Impact Scheffler began the final round with a two-shot deficit but was able to quickly make up the ground with four birdies in the first five holes to take a two shot lead. His momentum stalled on the back-nine however, where he was unable to birdie either par-5 or the driveable par-4 17th hole, and he ultimately finished three shots back in his quest to win the event for a third consecutive year. Scheffler had another exceptional week with his ball striking, ranking second in SG: Off the tee and first in approach.
