Unable to defend API title Scheffler settled for a share of fourth place after shooting a one-over 73 in the final round of the Arnold Palmer Invitational. Impact Scheffler was lurking much of the week, but put his name in the ring following a 68 in round three. That put him just one back of the lead, but he had to make up ground after a three-over start through eight holes on Sunday. Scheffler was able to tie the lead after birdies on 9, 12, and 16, but he will want his wedge into 18 back. Scheffler had a chance to stick one and post nine-under, but ultimately came up short and made bogey. Scheffler is now one-for-two on his title defenses in 2023 and will look to add his fifth PGA Tour win at The Players Championship next week.
