Impact Hoge's 66 in very challenging conditions on Sunday tied for the low round of the day and moved him up 19 positions on the leaderboard. He rode his excellent iron play to this strong finish as he picked up nearly 10 strokes on approach this week, the second-best mark in the field. Hoge didn't take advantage of the course when it was gettable, failing to break 70 in the first two rounds, and that's why he ended up two adrift of the playoff between Rory McIlroy and J.J. Spaun. Hoge will still have to be pretty happy with this result especially considering he came into the week having gone MC-54th-67th-T40. Hoge is not in the field for the Valspar Championship.
