Set to join LIV Golf McKibbin is expected to forgo his rookie season on the PGA Tour and join LIV Golf to be the fourth member on Jon Rahm's Legion XIII team, Stephen Watson of BBC.com reports. Impact McKibbin electing to join LIV Golf speaks again to the breakaway league's ability to lure young talent away from the PGA Tour. McKibbin was able to earn a PGA Tour card after being among the top-10 players on the DP World Tour's Race to Dubai who weren't already eligible for the PGA Tour. The 22-year-old collected nine top-10s on the DP World Tour last season and is a previous winner back in 2023. McKibbin will join Rahm, Tyrrell Hatton and Caleb Surratt on Legion XIII for the 2025 LIV Golf season. With the DP World Tour no longer fining players who play on LIV, McKibbin will likely play a fair amount of DPWT events in 2025 in addition to LIV's 14-event schedule. McKibbin is exempt for the 2025 Open Championship as well in his home country of Northern Ireland. He is competing at the Team Cup in Abu Dhabi this week and is expected to tee it up in next week's Hero Dubai Desert Classic before LIV's first event in Riyadh Feb. 6-8. McKibbin will not be able to compete in any PGA Tour events despite having a card with this move.
