Narrowly misses medal Perez fired an eight-under 63 on Sunday at the Olympics to finish in solo fourth place. Impact Perez looked to be out of medal contention after starting the day six shots off the lead and was only two-under through 11, but he played the next five holes in six-under to storm up the leaderboard surrounded by support from his home country. Unfortunately, he was unable to convert birdie putts on the closing two holes and finished one shot out of a playoff for a medal. Perez had an excellent week on the greens, ranking second in SG: Putting.
