Impact A big chunk of the damage against Civale came via the long ball with Kolten Wong, Avisail Garcia and Manny Pina all knocking home runs off the Cleveland starter. He had allowed just six runs over his previous four starts combined and raised his season ERA to 3.76. The 26-year-old righty is 0-2 since returning from his lengthy stint on the injured list with a sprained finger. Civale is projected to face the Yankees on the road next weekend.

He's looked good in three rehab appearances, allowing just a single earned run on five hits and three walks across 11.1 innings while striking out 12 batters. He reached 71 pitches in his most recent outing, so he might not be able to push towards 100 pitches in his return but should still be able to handle a substantial workload.

Impact He came out of his last rehab start Wednesday very well after throwing 71 pitches, so Civale shouldn't face notable restrictions in his long-awaited return to Cleveland's rotation. While he lines up to start Monday, that hasn't been confirmed, but even if he started Tuesday, he could still have a two-start week, with the latter coming next weekend at home against the Brewers. Civale has a 0.79 ERA, 0.71 WHIP and 12 strikeouts in 11.1 innings through three rehab starts.
