Reinstated ahead of Friday's start Manoah (suspension) was reinstated to the Blue Jays' active roster and is slated to start Friday against the Rays, Mitch Bannon of SI.com reports.
Impact The 23-year-old received a five-game ban for intentionally throwing at Maikel Franco back on June 19, and the right-hander will rejoin the active roster after serving the suspension. Manoah has a 3.34 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 33:11 K:BB across 29.2 innings this season, and he's coming off a strong start versus Baltimore in which he allowed only an unearned run over six frames.

Accepts five-game suspension Manoah accepted his five-game suspension Saturday, Mike Wilner of the Toronto Star reports.
Impact Manoah initially appealed his suspension for intentionally throwing at Maikel Franco, but he'll begin serving his punishment Saturday. The right-hander started Friday's contest, and he'll be eligible to return July 2. Steven Matz (illness) is slated to return next week, so he'll likely start early in the week since Manoah tentatively lines up to start at home against the Rays on Friday.

Sharp in quality start Manoah didn't factor into the decision in Friday's 6-5 extra-inning loss to the Orioles, allowing one unearned run on four hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out six.
Impact The rookie right-hander was in line for his second big-league win when he exited the game after 97 pitches (69 strikes), but an eighth-inning meltdown by the Jays' bullpen instead forced Manoah to settle for his third quality start in six trips to the mound. It was a strong rebound effort after he served up four homers to the O's in his last outing, and the 23-year-old will take a 3.34 ERA and 33:11 K:BB through 29.2 innings into his next start.

Impact Manoah's day ended early after he was ejected in the fourth inning for hitting Maikel Franco with a pitch, but Toronto likely wouldn't have kept him in the game much longer anyway due to his struggles to rein in the long ball. Fortunately for Manoah, only one of the four home runs he allowed came with a runner on base, sparing him of major damage to his season-long ERA. He now sports a 4.18 ERA to go with a 1.14 WHIP and a 27:9 K:BB in 23.2 innings through his first five starts in the majors.
